An excellent opportunity to acquire a delightful cottage style property conveniently situated a short distance from the charming medieval town square of Axbridge. The property is immaculately presented throughout and will in our opinion appeal to a range of people including first time buyers, professionals and the retired. This lovely cosy home has been subject to extensive improvement and benefits from upvc double glazing and gas fired central heating. In brief, the ready to move into accommodation includes on the ground floor: A recently constructed stone-built Entrance Porch, Sitting Room which leads into the well-appointed Kitchen/Diner with access to the rear garden. On the first floor there are three Bedrooms and a tastefully fitted Bathroom suite. Outside, there is a private driveway for two vehicles and landscaped gardens to both the front and rear, as well as some pleasant views across the surrounding area. The property is offered for sale with no forward chain complications and in our opinion should be viewed at an early opportunity, strictly by appointment through Farrons Estate Agents: 01934 842000.

Location

Marron Close is located just a short distance from the heart of the charming 'Centuries Old' town of Axbridge nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills, ideal for those with a keen interest in the outdoors. Being a market town allowed Axbridge to prosper and the heart of the town has changed little, retaining a number of early listed buildings in the Square and lining the main streets. The Square still has the feel of a marketplace today with a range of retail outlets as well as places to eat and drink including the popular 'Old Almshouse', 'The Lamb Inn' and 'Oak House Hotel & Restaurant'. In addition, there is a charming COE Church, The Roxy Community Cinema (one of the smallest Cinema's in England) and Doctors Surgery. The local COE First School Academy is just a short distance away which feeds into Fairlands Middle School and Secondary Education at the very popular Kings of Wessex Academy both of which are located in Cheddar. There is a local bus service providing access to the surrounding district and for those travelling further afield, the A38 provides direct access to Bristol city centre and access to the M5 Motorway network is available at junction 21 St Georges and 22 Edithmead. Bristol International Airport is approximately a 20-minute drive away.

Directions

From Winscombe heading South West on the Bridgwater Road (A38), proceed for approximately 1.5 miles. Take the left-hand fork in the road onto the A371 signposted to Axbridge, Cheddar and Wells. There are two turnings into Axbridge so after approximately 2.5 miles take the second turning onto Cheddar Road which in turn leads onto Jubilee Road. Take the fourth turning on the right onto Chestnut Avenue and first right into Marron Close, where the property can be found on the right-hand side. Alternatively, if approaching from the Cross junction, the town of Axbridge can be enjoyed by driving down West Street passing through the Medieval Square onto St. Marys Street. Turn left onto Chestnut Avenue and again first right into Marron Close.
